Bio
misty weaverI’m a singer-songwriter and a content strategist. It’s nice when your alter egos can have complementary jobs. I come to Seattle via the long roads off the Mississippi River from New Orleans. My music is inspired by the natural beauty of the Northwest combined with the sounds and rhythms of southern Louisiana. People have categorized my sound as as Americana, Alt Country, Southern Gothic, Folk, and “Jazzy.” Roger Palmeri & I wrote, recorded and produced “Lost Saints for Long Roads”, my first release. Written after Hurricane Katrina, Lost Saints helped me celebrate what I love about my home town and dealing with the grief that sometimes comes with ‘moving on and growing up’. Give a listen on Bandcamp, I hope you like it. |

content strategistI work primarily in Content Strategy. What’s that, you ask? It’s making a solid plan for content throughout its lifecycle, from creation to publication to on-going governance. It can mean online, social media or anywhere, anyone that needs a content plan. Songwriting keeps me happy and sane but it also taught me a great deal about language , narrative and structure. The songwriting business taught me a lot about social media, marketing, and various ways working with lots of different kinds of content. I’ve tried to write songs about content strategy and information architecture but they’re a little silly so I stick to the more serious material in my CS role. |
